World Read Aloud Day is a way to celebrate literacy and draw attention to the 793 MILLION Earth citizens who cannot read or write. It's "about taking action to show the world that the right to read and write belongs to all people."
To celebrate World Read Aloud Day, Sharon, Leigh and Sarah read short excerpts for you!
Three accents. Three awesome book excerpts. One great cause!
Here's the link if this doesn't embed for you.
That was awesome. You ladies are all great, accent or not :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I must be the "not accent" cause I don't hear me having one XD
DeleteThank you girls! What a treat! :)
ReplyDeleteI want Sharon to read aloud to me every day, lol.
I'd just woken up to get the reading in before everyone else got up (otherwise I'd have a 6yo jumping around giggling in the background).
DeleteTee hee. So I'll have to Skype you every night and read to you =P
Oh the aussie accent brings me right back to my Home and Away days. Awesomesauce. LOL!
ReplyDeleteLol! H&A - someone needs to air that in the US for you.
Delete"aw, struth Irene! I thought I told'ya to lock the diner"
DeleteTee Hee Hee- LOVE your accent, Sharon!
What you talking about? I don't have an accent - all you guys have the accents =P
DeleteAaaaahhhh!!!! Hahaha... You guys, how AWESOME was that? Seriously loving it. Talk about variety ;) <3
ReplyDeleteYes we truly are an international blog. We have even more accents to offer. Maybe another time we'll get more of us in.
DeleteIt's just so amazing to see what a difference reading aloud can do to a book! Love all the accents.
ReplyDeleteAhhh! I saw this yesterday, and I love it! You're all fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone would like to hear me read aloud - I've got a really strong Devon (UK) 'farrrrrmer' accent which was for some reason hi-larious to the tourists I served as a waitress.
ReplyDeletehaha, now I WANT to hear it!
DeleteI love this!
